3. Generative AI Feature Data Transmission (Important)
⚠ Important Notice
This application includes an AI SQL Agent feature that uses generative artificial intelligence technology to help you query databases using natural language.
3.1 Data Transmission Details
When you actively use the AI SQL Agent feature, the following data will be sent to the third-party AI service provider API endpoint you configure:
Data sent includes:
- Your natural language questions (e.g., "Find recently registered users")
- Target database schema metadata (table names, column names, data types, index information)
- Conversation history context (up to 10 rounds retained)
Data NOT sent:
- Actual database data content (row data)
- Database connection credentials (username, password, host address)
- Your personal identifying information
3.2 Supported AI Service Providers
You can configure any of the following AI service providers:
3.3 Your Control
- Opt-in: AI features are not enabled by default; you must actively configure API keys and endpoints in settings
- Can be disabled anytime: You can completely disable AI features by clearing the API key in settings
- Choose your provider: You have full control over which AI service provider receives data
- Local option: If you choose local Ollama, data never leaves your computer
3.4 Third-Party Privacy Policies
When you use AI features, your configured AI service provider will process data you send according to their own privacy policies. Please refer to:
Important Statement: The Database Workspace AI application itself does not store, log, or transmit your API keys or data sent to AI providers to us (the developers).
4. Local Data Storage
All application data is stored at: %LOCALAPPDATA%\DatabaseWorkspaceAI
Specific files:
profiles.json - Database server configurations (passwords encrypted)
leases.json - Currently active database leases
audit_log.json - Operation audit logs
settings.json - Application settings (including encrypted AI API keys)
Encryption characteristics:
- Only decryptable by the current Windows user account
- Other users or other computers cannot access encrypted data
- No need to remember an additional master password
5. Summary
In simple terms:
